Placing a demand on God for what you need may seem a little bossy or out of line, but take a look at the scriptures that say we can, in a sense, place demands on God.

Mt 6:11 says, “Give us this day our daily bread.” This is part of the Lord’s Prayer.

Notice that it isn’t a question. It says, “Give us.”

It doesn’t ask, “Oh God, we don’t have enough to eat, WILL YOU PLEASE GIVE US something to eat so we don’t starve?”

No, that’s not what it says. It’s a demand. Now don’t get all upset, or get your self in a tizzy.

It’s not arrogant in the sense that you are forcing God to do something for you. You’re not big enough to force God to do anything! But it’s like a little kid who walks into the kitchen at dinner time and says, “Mom, I’m starving. I want something to eat.”

Would you slap your kid upside the head and say, ONLY if you beg me. Drop to your knees and beg me.

No! I don’t think so.

Cooking and providing your kids meals is just something a mom does for her family. And kids come to understand it’s part of the family dynamic. The parents take care of them and provide food to eat. It’s out of relationship that the parents take care of their kids.

And it’s out of this family dynamic that kids end up being bold enough to ask and require.

Now don’t get stuck on that word require.

The Bible says we can ask and require our needs to be met, because Gods promises are backed by the honor of his name.

Psalm 34:10 AMP:

The young lions lack food and suffer hunger, but they who seek (inquire of and require) the Lord [by right of their need and on the authority of His Word], none of them shall lack any beneficial thing.

Hebrews 4:16:

So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.

So don’t be shy…expect and even “require” God to meet your needs today. And like a loving Father, he’ll do just that.

What the f____!!!  Today I’m going to tell you about the power of the “F” word..

So what is it?

It’s not what you think…

Relax! The word is “FAITH“.

Most people say that they don’t have faith, but that’s simply NOT true..

Everyone has faith. The question is, what do you have faith in?

A sick person has faith that they are sick, a healthy person too has faith…that he is healthy.

Recently I’ve tried a focusing hack to ramp up my faith quickly.

Try this:

  • Set a 1-minute timer on your phone 3 x’s a day.
  • Focus on a single need at hand, such as conquering debt or strengthening a relationship.
  • For one minute, think ONLY about scriptures and statements that declare you can have your need met. And say them out-loud.This will help you to focus your faith where you need it to go.
  • When the 1 minute is up, regardless of what you’re doing, stop.
  • Go for a walk, go back to work, read a book, and other activities unrelated to your task.
  • After that, start again a few hours later. Rinse and repeat 3x’s a day.

Using this trick, I was able to boost my faith for the need I had in just 1 day!

Try it, I think you’ll be surprised with the results 🙂

Here’s to more faith…

…and seeing you get your needs met!
